Overview
This Freter Butterfly Bit features a low port, sweet iron mouthpiece that is 3/8" in diameter. It is designed for comfort to the young horse's mouth while teaching him to turn with only a light touch. The sweet iron creates saliva for a moist, soft mouth while the low port helps to stabilize the front shoulders.
The Freter Butterfly is a well balanced bit that is great for trail riding or for starting colts into a bit. This bit has a 5" mouthpiece with 4 1/2" cheeks.
