Overview
The Half Cheek Snaffle Bit With Dr. Bristol Mouthpiece is stainless steel with a 5" mouthpiece that measures 13mm in diameter. The Dr. Bristol mouthpiece applies pressure similar to the French link, but gives a little more control. The link in the middle is angled to put the thin edge against the lips, tongue and bar which creates a pressure point. However the Dr. Bristol mouthpiece has less "nutcracker" action than the traditional single jointed snaffles. This is a strong bit that is a great alternative for a horse that resents a curb.
