Horse Muzzles
Horse muzzles have many different benefits and should be in every horse owners tack room! Horse muzzles control over grazing, cribbing and biting. In many cases grazing muzzles have greatly improved the quality of life for a horse and its owner. Horses benefit from being able to exercise when pastured, but some horses are prone to overgrazing. Overgrazing causes damage to the pasture and your horse’s health. The solution is a Horse muzzle-- muzzles allow horses to graze with their pastures mates rather than being confined to a stall. The muzzle reduces the amount a hay and forage a horse can take in by restricting the ability for a horse to eat large amounts of forage in every bite. Small openings in the muzzle only allow small portions of hay and forage to be consumed in every bite—successfully controlling your horse’s food intake throughout the day.
Horse muzzles can also help discourage vices such as biting and cribbing. Muzzles help prevent a horse from eating bedding, biting bandages and over grazing pastures!
