Overview
The Draft Horse Tom Thumb Bit is stainless steel with a jointed mouthpiece and 6 1/2" cheeks. The solid jointed mouth applies pressure to the lips, tongue and bars with a "nutcracker" action. The loose shanks move independently allowing for more lateral flexibility. It uses a small amount of curb pressure or leverage. This bit works as an excellent transition bit from a ring snaffle to a longer shanked bit or to a curb bit.
