The mouthpiece is also curved  which makes this bit easier and more comfortable for your horse to pack. This bit has the Golden Glide connection which helps smooth the movement of the cheekpieces for better feel and performance. It also helps eliminate the chance of pinching your horse's lip. 

The Kimberwick - 7/16" Smooth, Sweet Iron Snaffle is a handmade and hand buffed English-Western crossover bit. Many months were spent with top trainers in designing and field testing these bits. This bit has 3 1/2" cheeks and a 5" sweet iron mouthpiece that measures 7/16" in diameter.

This Kimberwick bit features two slots in the rings which allows for two rein positions. The placement of the rein on the lower slot produces more leverage and acts like a curb. If the reins are placed on the upper slot the bit will act like a snaffle.
